About the Studio Genevieve's wonderful little photography studio is located literally on the water in San Francisco. Next door to the iconic Ferry Building, the building has it's own fabulous history. Before bridges knit the Bay Area together, ferries did the job. 101 The Embarcadero is the former Ferry Station Post Office, where ferries dropped off the mail and street cars loaded up the bundles for delivery. It must have been quite a bustling spot in the 1910s and 1920s. The view from the studio window leads all the way down Mission Street, all the way to Twin Peaks. It is easy to imagine an old post master standing by the window, timepiece in hand, making sure the street cars arrived and departed in a timely manner. Today, the location is perfect for busy executives who need a business portrait. It is a short walk from the Financial District and surrounded by cafes and coffee shops for a quick bite or a pick-me-up!
